  • Q: How do I request a ride?

    A:

    You can request a ride either by phone or through an online form for returning customers.

    Monday-Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm
    Interpreters available when needed.

    ONLINE: Once you are registered with us we will set up an online account for you.

  • Q: How will I know if I can get the ride I requested?

    A:

    Someone from Ride Connection will contact you at least 2 business days before the requested date to confirm or deny the ride. Sometimes we are unable to fulfill the request, but once the ride is confirmed by us, we will provide it.

  • Q: Who is eligible for Ride Connection Services?

    A:

    Ride Connection services are primarily for older adults and people with disabilities. In rural Washington County, the services are available to the general public. Please give us a call at 503.226.0700 to find out more about what transportation options are available to you.

  • Q: What is the cost of the service?

    A:

    There is no charge for most of our services; however, donations are greatly appreciated and needed.

  • Q: What are the hours of services? What areas do you serve?

    A:

    Most services are available Monday through Friday; hours, availability and days of service vary. Travel Training service hours vary greatly based on customer needs. Ride Connection’ service area covers Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington counties.

  • Q: Where can Ride Connection take me?

    A:

    We go where you go. We take people to medical appointments, community centers, grocery stores, work. We provide transportation options for any purpose.

  • Q: Who will drive me?

    A:

    Ride Connection employs paid and volunteer drivers. All of our drivers go through background and DMV checks. Drivers also complete our training program which includes safe driving and passenger assistance techniques, as well as vehicle orientation and securement training for those driving our accessible vehicles.

  • Q: How will I get home?

    A:

    You can schedule your return trip at the same time you schedule your departing trip. If you’re not sure what time you’ll be done at your destination, we can work with you to create a plan when you set up your ride.

  • Q: What if my ride is late?

    A:

    Call the Ride Connection Service Center at (503) 226-0700 (TTY: 711) and we will get someone to you ASAP.

  • Q: What if I need to cancel my ride?

    A:

    Please call us as soon as possible to let us know.

  • Q: Where does Ride Connection’s funding come from?

    A:

    Ride Connection is a private nonprofit. Much of our funding comes from federal and state grants which are administered by TriMet (via the Federal Transit Administration) and the Oregon Department of Transportation.   • Q: Sometimes I see other names on the vehicle that picks me up. Why?

    A:

    Ride Connection relies on its community partners to help provide services. We work closely with organizations like Metropolitan Family Service and Impact Northwest to coordinate and provide rides.
