  • Mobility Specialist

    Location: Wilsonville
    Classification: Full Time

    Ride Connection is looking for a friendly, dependable person who is passionate about helping people in our community lead more independent lives. We are seeking a full-time Mobility Specialist to join our team. This position will be working out of Wilsonville after the training has been completed. Training will take place in the Glisan office and should last up to 3 months. You must submit both an application as well as a resume and cover letter, in order to be considered. 

    The Mobility Specialist implements and coordinates service delivery in Wilsonville through the RideWise Travel Training & Mobility Support Program.  The RideWise program is a coordinated, comprehensive approach to enhancing an individual’s knowledge and ability to access appropriate transportation options independently.  The Mobility Specialist must work independently and manage multiple projects assigned by the RideWise Supervisor.

    Required Qualifications
    • BA Degree in a related field with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.  Additional education may be substituted for experience, and educational qualifications may be waived depending on work history
    • Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is it relates to public transport
    • Demonstrated training skills, comfortable leading groups of people, and speaking in front of people
    • Demonstrated skills in group facilitation and effective public speaking
    • Strong interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diversity of people
    • Experience working with older adults and people with disabilities
    • Ability to pass a National Criminal Record Check which includes fingerprint identification 
    • Ability to access reliable transportation
    • Maintain a driving record that meets or exceeds Ride Connection’s driver standards
    • Demonstrated computer skills, and proficient with the Microsoft Office environment and related software
    • Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Working knowledge/experience with paratransit eligibility processes.
    • Familiarity with Portland Metropolitan area public transit system.
    • Bilingual skills.

  • Lead Classroom Trainer

    Lead Classroom Trainer

    Classification: Full-Time; Non-Exempt

    Ride Connection seeks dynamic and experienced trainer to join our professional training team. The Lead Classroom Trainer serves as the primary trainer. They work in collaboration with the training team to deliver Ride Connection’s training programs and curriculums.  This position’s focus is on classroom instruction and may also provide backup for behind the wheel training and coaching as needed. 

    Required Qualifications
    • BA degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience
    • Demonstrated training skills and experience providing classroom based instruction 
    • Ability and willingness to work an occasional weekends 
    • Willing to travel as needed (including overnight travel) throughout Oregon to deliver training courses
    • Ability to expertly and effectively communicate key information to customers as well as staff members
    • Proficient in standard office software and/or other presentation software

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Ability to speak other languages in addition to English
    • Current instructor certification in PASS or First Aid/CPR 
    • Experience driving a larger vehicle 
    • Experience with older adults and/or people with disabilities

    Ride Connection seeks dynamic and experienced instructor to join our pool of instructors. The instructors will deliver scheduled classroom training in Portland Metro Area and throughout the state of Oregon. 

    Deliver one or more of the following curriculums:
    • Defensive Driving- Ride Connection curriculum
    • The Best Ride- Customer Service and Passenger Assistance- Ride Connection curriculum
    • First Aid/CPR- AHA or Red Cross certification (Must hold current certification)
    • PASS- Passenger Service and Safety- CTAA (Must hold current certification)
    • Wheelchair Securement- Ride Connection curriculum

    Required Qualifications
    • Experience teaching core subject area/s for which you are applying
    • Current instructor certification for subject areas (As applicable)
    • Ability and willingness to learn Ride Connection proprietary curriculum

    The Fiscal Specialist is an administrative confidential position that supports Ride Connection.  This position is responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer in the development and oversight of fiscal management and compliance tasks.  The position requires performance of general bookkeeping functions that include Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger, Cash management, Reconciliations and preparation of other reports as assigned.  This position also includes service data collection, analysis, database management, report generation and auditing of service partners reports.

    Required Qualifications
    • BA degree in a related field or a High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years experience with an emphasis on bookkeeping
    • Ability to pass a National Criminal Record Check which includes fingerprint identification
    • Experience in maintenance of computerized accounting records
    • Knowledge of GAAP
