Payroll Specialist - $26.13 per hour

Summary

Payroll Specialist

Ride Connection is looking for a collaborative, investigative minded, problem solver to join our fiscal team to assist the Chief Financial Officer and process payroll for a 200+ employee non-profit.

The Payroll Specialist will support the Chief Financial Officer in the development and oversight of fiscal management and compliance tasks.  The Payroll Specialist must work independently and manage multiple projects assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.  The position requires performance of advance bookkeeping functions that include processing payroll through ADP Workforce Now, cost allocation, financial analysis, budgeting, reconciliations and preparation of other reports and documents as assigned.  In this position discretion must be exercised in protecting and releasing information.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting pay of $26.13 per hour. What You’ll Do

  • Work in multiple software platforms, the most significant of which are ADP Workforce Now, Timebank, and Blackbaud Financial Edge
  • Communicate regarding payroll with employees and management on an ongoing basis, answering questions and preparing reports
  • Be primary point of contact for onboarding new employees and updating employee information in payroll system
  • Monitor timecard entries and assist employees with correcting and navigating ADP Workforce Now system
  • Maintain and run reports regarding Ride Connection’s retirement program, including onboarding new employees and updating employee information
  • Maintaining and updating the validation tables in several modules spanning across multiple platforms
  • Assist with audits of payroll and other platforms

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • 3-5 years payroll processing experience
  • Comfort and experience using technology – Especially MS Office, Excel, and payroll processing platforms
  • Ability and willingness to work with diverse populations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Must pass a National Criminal Record Check, which includes fingerprint identification.

 

Welcomed Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with ADP time and attendance module
  • Bilingual or multilingual
  • Experience, lived or otherwise, working with older adults and people with disabilities
