Operations Director

  • Full-Time Equivalent: 1.0 FTE

Summary

Ride Connection is looking for an engaging, collaborative, relationship builder to join Ride Connection as the Operations Director.

The Operations Director is responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining Ride Connection’s dynamic service department in support of the overall strategic direction of the organization, specifically directing demand response services, community shuttles, and the service center. This position supports program managers and their teams in the provision of exceptional customer service delivery. The Operations Director facilitates cohesive collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure capacity is efficiently maximized for community benefit.

This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $83,948 - $125,923 annually. This position may include occasional evening and weekend hours.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and guide all functions of direct service and maintains a customer oriented culture
  • Direct all aspects of the centralized service center in collaboration with the service center supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with the Deputy Director and the management team to achieve transportation goals set by funding grants and contracts.
  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer with budgets and budget variances for the Service Department
  • Evaluate effectiveness of network transportation programs and work collaboratively across departments to improve network transportation services.
  • Assist with the development of scope of work for new projects being submitted for funding.
  • Manage contracted service transportation providers in collaboration with service planning and the network management department.
  • Support the Development Director in the drafting of grant or fundraising applications.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable contract regulations and local, state, and federal laws as it pertains to direct service.
  • Ensure ongoing program evaluation for safety, quality of service and cost effectiveness.
  • Support data collection and report submission according to prescribed timelines.
  • Attend required agency staff meetings, management meetings and Board/committee meetings.
  • Serve as a member of Ride Connection’s management team reporting directly to the Deputy Director providing additional support and expertise.
  • Represent Ride Connection in a professional manner to our service partners, our funders, and the community.

 

Qualifications

  • BA degree in a related field with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Strong project management skills with experience developing and managing adherence to goals, objectives, scopes-of-work, and timelines.
  • Experience in organizational management with the ability to coach, lead, and develop teams.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure development and implementation
  • Skilled in project planning and report presentation
  • Knowledge of confidentiality rules
  • Demonstrated computer skills, and proficient with the Microsoft Office environment and related software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a specified timeline.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation for employment purposes which may include evenings and weekends.  If using a personal vehicle, must maintain proof of auto insurance and comply with State regulations.
  • Ability to pass a National Criminal Record Check which includes fingerprint identification.
  • Maintain a driving record that meets or exceeds Ride Connection’s driver standards.

 

Welcomed Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Federal and Oregon rules and statutes pertaining to programs receiving government funding for transportation
  • Ability to speak other languages, in addition to English.
  • Experience working with older adults and people with disabilities.
  • Experience and passion working for a Non-Profit organization.
