Ride Connection is a private, non-profit organization, dedicated to coordinating and providing transportation services to people with limited options. We believe transportation is a basic human right. Access to transportation means mobility, and being mobile allows a person to connect with his or her community and other essential life destinations.
Because of Coronavirus, we have initiated the following procedures to protect our Drivers and Customers; masks are required for Driver and all passengers, protective equipment are provided, barriers are in most of our vehicles with plans for the rest, time is built into the schedule to sanitize the vehicle between rides; a sanitizing fogger is used in the evenings, limit of 4 customers for our buses and no shared rides for other vehicles. During COVID-19, we are giving our Drivers an additional $2.00 per hour. We have a differential pay (*) of an additional $2.00 per hour only for the hours working between 6 pm and 6 am and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
We are currently looking for Drivers. We have the following shifts currently available:
- Tualatin – 20 hours per week; Monday and Tuesday about 8 am through 4 pm, Thursday and Friday from 830 am through 4 pm,
- NE Portland/Gresham – 20 hours per week; Mondays through Friday varies between 7 am until 5 pm
What qualities are we looking for? Good customer service is required. No need for a CDL, you just need your Drivers License. Good communication skills. Able to work independently. Able to operate a larger vehicle, our buses carry 14 customers. Able to pass a national criminal background check. Able to pass a drug test.
