Service Providers
Ride Connection looks for opportunities to help create strategic
alliances among individuals and organizations, harnessing their
collective power to confront, explore and solve significant transportation
issues in Oregon.
Ride Connection as Collaborator
We convene and collaborate with a coalition of local providers
working to identify unmet needs, foster good communication and streamline
transportation services in Clackamas Multnomah, and Washington counties. Ride Connection staff constantly strives to realize
outcomes that will make a significant difference to our customers
including: (1) more efficient, less duplicated services; (2) better
communication among providers; (3) identification of service gaps;
and (4) improved strategic thinking in mobility awareness.
Ride Connection as a Leader
In addressing broad community transportation issues, Ride
Connection has taken a leadership role in delivering support and
resources to our Network of providers.
Ride Connection as a Participant
To foster greater mobility, our Mobility Trainers engage
in specialized one-on-one travel training designed to provide our
customers with information on all transportation options in our
community. Our RideWise program educates individuals to use all
community-based transportation options so that all services are
used more efficiently and effectively.
We also collaborate with the Oregon Transit Association and the
Community Transportation Association of America as part of a key
strategic alliance to help our targeted population. Together, we
are working to leverage the value of community resources, prioritize
funding and issue grants intended to improve the lives of older
adults and people with disabilities in Oregon.
